Apple Cinema HD Display

Those who know me know that I’m a minor Apple collector focusing mainly on New World PowerPC Macs. It’s no surprise, then, that I recently acquired a Cinema HD Display. Ultimately, this display has a 23" LCD panel with a resolution of 1920×1200, and it connects to an era-appropriate PowerMac via the Apple Display Connector, which provides power to the monitor, video, and USB through one DVI-esque connector.

Overall, I was pleased with the colors and sharpness, plus the monitor still gets plenty bright after 14 years. Best of all, it makes my G4 Quicksilver a lot more useful, which is nice because occasionally I like to dabble in early versions of Adobe Creative Suite (CS2 in this case), and play certain old games.

The simplicity of the cabling is what really brings it together for me, though.
